Friday evening was a special day for some couples who belong to the parish of St Thomas Cathedral in San Thome.
In the short, ongoing annual feast celebration of saint Thomas that is currently on at this church, couples who were celebrating their golden or silver jubilee of marriage were invited by the church to be the lead participants at the Holy Mass that was celebrated here.
The Mass was held in the open-air in the Cathedral campus, with seven priests at the altar.
“We wanted to make this a special occasion for the couples,” said Fr. Arulraj, senior parish priest here.
The feast ends with a car procession on Saturday evening and feast Masses on Sunday.
