The 42 annual music festival of Muthamizh Peravai based in R A Puram is to be launched this evening, July 22 at the Thiruyavaduthurai T N Rajarathinam auditorium located alongside the Adyar river, next to the Durgabai Deshmukh hospital campus.
Chief minister M K Stalin is scheduled to launch the fest at 5 p.m. and present a string of awards to a few well-known artistes like S. Mahathi, Rajesh Vaidhya and Injikkudi E P Ganesan.
Concerts will go on here till July 26.
