Chief minister M. K. Stalin honoured a group of performing artistes at the inauguration of the annual music festival of Muthamizh Peravai based in R A Puram .
This event took place on July 22 at the Thiruyavaduthurai T N Rajarathinam auditorium located alongside the Adyar river, next to the Durgabai Deshmukh hospital campus.
Among the well-known artistes who were decorated with the awards on this occasion were vocalist S. Mahathi, veena vidwan Rajesh Vaidhya and nagaswaram artiste Injikkudi E P Ganesan.
Concerts have been held daily and will go on here till July 26.
