Mandaveli-based P. Srinivasan and his colleagues are keen organic framing promoters with fields in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu.
While rice is their main product, they also grow mangoes and are currently growing the Imampasand variety mangoes in the farm.
These mangoes have arrived in the local centre and open for sale.
Srinivasan says the mangoes are carefully handled – with every mango is covered with a special cover to protect it from any pest or fungal infection. Most importantly they are naturally ripened.
Imampasand prices range from Rs.150 to Rs.250 per kilo, depending on the market rates.
Imampasand have been harvested and have arrived in Mandaveli.
Srinivasan says the fruits will not last for more than 4 days as they are partly ripened under natural ripening process.

Mylapore times. Thanks for the article. I have encouraging enquiries from customers and have spoken to more than a dozen of them and would start supply today evening.
The stock which came last week got fully sold in few hours.
In order to meet the demand for imampasand and Banganapalli we are arranging for shipments from our farm twice a week.
Thanks a tonne.
