On the auspicious occasion of Vaikasi Visakam, Ramkumar, a professor at SRM and his wife Arulmozhi, devotees of Kapali Temple for 25 years, presented a new silver vel weighing 4.1216grams to lord Singaravelar.
Arulmozhi told Mylapore Times soon after the presentation on Friday evening that it struck her suddenly one day six months ago the need to present a silver vel and she and her husband got the permission from the temple authorities to do so.
They said they were happy that the presentation could be made on Vaikasi Visakam.
