Nirupama Subramanian, award winning journalist and long time resident of R A Puram, was conferred the ‘Distinguished Alumni’ award by Delhi School of Economics in New Delhi last week.
Nirupama is a distinguished journalist who has worked for India Today, The Hindu, and The Indian Express.
She is the author of two books, both of which are investigative and well researched.
The first one is a highly researched compilation of events in Sri Lanka during the confrontational period of the civil war. The second is an absorbing account of the life and times of the owner of Saravana Bhavan, leading up to his ultimate incarceration.
