The calm by-lane of Karpagam Avenue echoed with chants of Saraswati Devi and lord Ganesha as children prayed to the deities at a recently held culture workshop titled “Back to School” hosted by Baala Vidhya here.
This was an initiative to impart bhakti among children, said Deepa V. who runs Baala Vidhya.
The workshop also featured story sessions, dance movements to bhajan music and art work.
Deepa’s grandmother, Savithri Mani, who has taught hundreds of children traditional values and bhajans under the guidance of swami Chinmayananda and swami Dayananda Saraswati was present too.
