Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary and son of home minister Amit Shah, along with BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla visited the Kapaleeswarar temple just after noon on Tuesday.
They are in the city to watch the IPL’s first qualifier at Chepauk later this evening – between CSK and Gujarat Titans.
Jay Shah told Mylapore Times after his darshan that he visits a temple everyday of his life. Since he has heard about the historical nature of this temple, he decided to have darshan of Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal today ahead of the big IPL match in the evening.

Nice one Prabhu! Happy to note both President & VP of BCCI are religious, believers. That too a temple visit on everyday is a blessing! Let us hope the home team wins through today’s play-off 😊
