After street processions every morning and evening during each of the 10 days of the Panguni Utsavam, Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal had been resting at the Thiru Kalyana mandapam as part of the Vidaiaatri utsavam.
After having been away for 20 days, the divine couple made their way back to their abode from the Thiru Kalyana mandapam on Monday evening after the pradosham event.
