Less than 12 hours after Mylapore Times posted a report raising civic issues that affect the operations of Sri Kapali Temple’s Panguni utsavam processions, city civic authorities swung into action and relaid West Mada Street (R K Mutt Road) on Monday night.
This was done ahead of the first procession that will take place on Tuesday morning following the flag hoisting inside the temple.
Many workers were seen at work around midnight with a road-roller moving along the R K Mutt Road stretch laying the other side of road which had been left half-done, merely scraped for the milling.
Temple officers and Mylaporeans acknowledged the civic response and hope the road will not be dug up.

For the sake of the Panguni Festivities, R. K. Mutt Road has been dug up already, within merely a few hours of the road’s getting re-laid.
Any thing is OK in India when it gets done in the name of religious belief/dharmic belief (i.e. in the name of superstition).
