On the eighth day of the Panguni Brahmotsavam, Venkatesa Perumal of Mari Chetty Street provided darshan on the new look kutirai vahana around the streets of Mandaveli late on Saturday evening.
It may be recalled that the vahana mandapam had been recently rebuilt and the damaged vahanas have been refurbished.
Shortly after 10pm, he was joined by Thiru Mangai Azhvaar, also on a kutirai vahana, for the enactment of the Vedu Pari episode on Sadayappa Street.
For over 15 minutes, the Sripatham personnel delighted the Mandaveli residents with a voyali performance followed by a snake dance.
This was followed by the Prabhandham members presenting the first decad of Thiru Mangai Azhvaar’s sacred verses.
