The community residing in some streets of Ramakrishna Nagar in R. A. Puram observed Earth Hour on Saturday night.
TAKSRA, the community body of Thiruveedhi Amman Koil Street. had suggested to all its members that they switch off their gate/outdoor and parking lot lights for an hour from 8.30 p.m.
TAKSRA’s senior members K. L. Bala Subramaniam says ‘this effort was our small contribution to Earth Hour.”
