Following a two-hour abhisekam that was witnessed by hundreds of devotees, Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple’s hereditary priest Balaji Gurukal on Wednesday evening ( March 1) read out the specifics relating to the Panguni Utsavam that will start on March 28 with the kodi etram event between 7.30am and 8.30am.
This will be preceded by a procession around the Mada Streets of Pillayar on Mooshika Vahana at 9pm on March 27.
Adikara Nandi procession will start at 5.45am on March 30. With the early start at 9pm, the popular Rishabha Vahanam that will run through the night on Saturday, April 1 dawn. This procession attracts thousands of devotees.
Lord Kapaleeswarar will leave for the chariot procession at 6.30 a.m. on April 3 and the procession will start at 7.25am. The Arubathumoovar procession will take place from 2.45pm on April 4.
Thiru Kalyanam of Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal will be held between 8pm and 8.30pm on April 6 followed by the kodi erakkam event.
