Powered by Tharun Kumar’s 70-ball 83, St Bedes school’s crciket team made 264 runs in its 50 overs in the semifinal of the TNCA under-14 city schools tournament against Sir Mutha School on Wednesday.
He then took two important wickets to help St Bedes reach the final that will be played tomorrow ( Friday). 12 year old left arm spinner S. Anirudh took 4 wickets for 41 in his 10 overs.
In the quarter final against PSBB KK Nagar, Tharun scored 96 to help his school post a match-winning score of 194 in 30 overs.
Earlier in the tournament, he scored a century against Chettinad Vidyashram and featured in a partnership of 165 along with N. Nishanth who too scored a century helping St Bede’s post 274 in 30 overs.
