India Post and Indian Railways is all set to launch the Joint Parcel Product (JPP) for despatch of consignments weighing 35 kilograms and above.
This service is open to people who wish to send goods like books, vessels, small furniture and the like. India Post says the rates are lesser than private players’ rate and the goods will be picked up at your home.
This service will also be available at the Mylapore post office from February 17.
Doorstep pick up and delivery, safe transmission and insurance are the key features of the JPP service, apart from affordable rates, says a India Post staff at Mylapore.
