Traffic movement changes have come into effect at the far south end of TTK Road and on Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Salai ( Hotel Crowne Plaza Zone) due to preliminary work on Chennai Metro rail project.
Vehicles travelling east from the Nandanam side, towards TTK Road can move in the usual direction but those moving from Alwarpet towards Nandanam and Kotturpuram will need to get into Boat Club Road, AVM Avenue and Turnbulls Road Extn.
Chennai Metro plans to have a rail station in the Hotel Crowne Plaza zone. Some plots have been taken over and machinery installed and area barricaded.
Traffic Police say that the changes are temporary and will be studied.
