The annual Thyagaraja-swami Aradhana that remembers the great Carnatic music composer on the day of his mukthi is held in a unique manner at an old Mylapore house at Door no.12, Mathala Narayanan Street, Mylapore; it has been held here for many, many decades.
This year, the aradhana is on Jan.11, 4.30 p.m. onwards.
Thyagaraja’s pancharatna kritis will be rendered by Yogam Santhanam and her students, Rajam and her students, Rajaraman, Nagai Narayanan, Dr. Chandramouli, flutist N Ramani’s son, Thyagarajan, B V Ramesh and mridangist Balasubramanian.
Later, others will also sing for this occasion. Prasadam will be shared.
