There is a positive development early in the monsoon as far as the water flow into the tank of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore.
This morning, even as the rainfall was light and steady, some times heavy, we saw the rainwater flowing copiously out of pipes that are fitted from the pipes leading from the drains to the steps of the tank.
Obviously, the drains and pipes have been cleaned up to take the rainwater which now fill up the tank.
Sometime ago, a series of water drains and outlets were laid on the Tank Street on the eastern edge of the temple tank, to tap the falling rain.
