Ragamalika Apartments on Thiruvengadam Street turned into Rangeela (colorful) arena as the community here swung, danced and clapped at the Dandiya Night held on October 1. This was part of the Navaratri/ Dussehra celebrations.
Some 250+ residents assembled in the central arena, where some 60+ colourful dancers – from kids to teenagers to women of all ages – gathered and danced to the tunes of Gujarati, Bollywood and Tollywood numbers honouring goddess Durga.
The groups had practised for this over the past four weeks, all done after dinner. Some went on Zoom to better their dance moves, if they could not be part of the rehearsals.
POP3 Events provided the colourful lights and the DJ set, orchestrated by DJ Yogi. The event ended with a delicious dinner curated for the festival.
