Buses, cars and even two wheelers are not allowed on Devanathan Street because of the storm water drains work. The road ends have been barricaded.
At one end, traffic routed to take the road alongside the Mandaveli MRTS station, head down St Mary’s Road and johis in R K Mutt Road.
Since the load is heavy, traffic crawls on this route now, which in many parts is dotted by street-side shops.
The blockade has been in force for past three days and will be so at least till mid-week next.
A big road cut had been made on the middle of the road connecting Jeth Nagar and Trustpakkam South Street.
