Dharshana Bajaj, the well-known artist from Prithvi Avenue in Alwarpet, has published her book titled, Gaia’s Own: Every Child’s Guide To Living In Harmony With Nature.
This is a story presented as an exchange of mails between a 12-year-old girl and her grandfather, who is a wildlife photographer.
The book has a preface by the international climate change campaigner and trainer, Pushpanath Krishnamurthy.
The paperback book is priced at Rs. 350. It’s available at Pothi.com and Darshana’s website, www.dharshanabajaj.in/books. You can pre-order a copy of the book and avail of a 20% early bird discount on her website, up to August 15.
The Odyssey bookstore will put the book on its shelves on August 12. It will shortly be available at Flipkart and other online stores too. An e-version of the book, costing Rs. 170, is available exclusively on Amazon.
Whether expressing herself through colours or words, Dharshana’s guiding passion seems to be this: our soul and the world’s soul are the same. Darshana says she realises this when watching a movie and when doing things like gazing at the sea. She has been inspired by the Adwaita philosophy.
