People streamed to a park side space in Ramakrishna Nagar in R. A. Puram this Sunday to donate to a drive by the NGO, Goonj which was collecting materials to be given to the flood-affected families in India’s north-east.
This drive was co-ordinated by the R K Nagara RWA, whose key member K. L. Balasubramanian said that “we received provisions, medicines, toys, old strollers, bedding and some stationery.”
The biggest collection was of clothes. This evening, two small truck-load of items were transported,
This is the second such collection that is being organised in the neighbourhood.
