Earlier this month, Sethu Ramalingam, president, Mylapore Club had informed members that the club is in
for a major revamp that will be in line with the heritage value of the club.
As part of the first major revamp exercise, the club has completely renovated the table tennis facility.
While the members play TT for fun and team bonding, the club also offers TT coaching facilities for upcoming talent
and many youngsters have emerged as good players over time.
This revamped facility will be in line with the best of the TT infrastructure in the city, says the club.
The renovation also comes on the back of the positive agreement with Sri Kapali Temple management
on the rental issues that had come up earlier this year. The Club management had pitched with the HR & CE
that it has one of the best sporting infrastructure in the city with cricket nets, tennis courts – both with floodlight facilities, badminton and billiards coaching for youngsters.
The newly renovated TT facility will be inaugurated on Monday ( July 25) evening at 6pm.
