1992 batch of San Thome School donate to fund students’ studies

The 1992 batch of San Thome Hr. Secondary School in San Thome has been donating for the education of poor students on campus every year in recent times.

This year, the group has made a big donation and the reps of the group did so in the presence of the school principal of their time, Brother Selvanathan, now retired and the current principal, Bro. Susai Alangaram.

34 students from San Thome school have received the first instalment of the donation amounting to Rs.198000 and a final payment is to be made later; the total is expected to be close to Rs.2.4 lakh, , says alumni member Karthikeyan.

The alumni will also donate to Monfort School’s seven students, a. sum of Rs.70,000. This school functions from the same campus.
