Did you notice ducks having a good time in the water inside the Chitrakulam?
Well, the ducks have been set free here by the Sripatham personnel of Sri Adhi Kesava Perumal Temple which owns this tank.
Trustee of the temple, N C Sridhar confirmed told Mylapore Times that the ducks are likely to be inside the tank till such time there is sufficient quantity of water.
He said the presence of the ducks had an inherent benefit as they had the ability to clear the dirt inside the tank.
However, plastic, board and paper and vegetable waste is found floating in the tank – the pollution caused by hawkers and passers-by.
