Former Mylapore MLA, R. Nataraj, with support from funders like IDRF and STS launched the 4th batch of a free car/auto driving course for young women from economically weak background recently.
These women. will be skilled by a private driving school.
Nataraj says the challenge though is to find jobs for the women once they pass the tests and get a driving licence. Only a few are capable of seeking loans to get an auto to drive and earn. Others seek driving jobs.
He says Mylaporeans who want a part / full time driver can contact his office since there is a pool of recently trained women drivers. Contact Nataraj’s office assistant on 7358-418871.
