Love cycling on a summer’s night and want to cycle for a cause? Do it this evening.
Chennai Corporation is hosting a Veedhi Vizha this Saturday evening, aiming to encourage women to cycle at night along designated routes starting from a few city points and ending at the Pondy Bazaar Plaza where there will be a gala event.
Men can also join the cycling drive.
One start point is at the rear end of the Light House on the Marina. Starts at 8 p.m.
These cyclists can head towards Luz and Eldams Road and end up at Pondy Bazar. You can use the on-hire cycles at the stand run by a private company here or use your own cycles.
