The area on and off Luz Church Road alongside Nageswara Rao Park and Karpagambal Nagar is polluted with dust now.
At peak hours, this problem is at its worst as buses, vans, cars and bikes drive down this zone.
TANGEDCO had dug up pathways to relay a major power cable to reroute it to facilitate work on the Chennai Metro project.
The paths were covered after the cable was reset but the mud mounds create the dust that is spread all over as vehicles ply on these areas.
