The choir of CSI St. Thomas English Church (STEC) in San Thome, will be presenting an evening of Passion-tide music on Palm Sunday, April 10, at 6 pm, in the recently restored 180-year-old church.
Conducted and accompanied by Anila Manoharan, the choir will be performing an Easter musical, ‘The day He wore my crown’ by Russell Mauldin, which includes classic hymns and gospel songs that trace Christ’s journey from his sufferings on the Cross to his resurrection.
All are welcome to come and listen to the choir.
Earlier that Sunday morning, the congregation and choir will be joining the Ecumenical Palm Sunday procession along with the congregations of San Thome Cathedral and CSI St. Thomas Tamil Church at 7 am, from St. Raphael’s School.
They will be walking along the streets of San Thome, singing and waving palm leaves symbolic of Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem leading to his death on the cross.
