People began to gather in front of the flag mast in the western yard of the temple 6 a.m. onwards and as the rituals were gone through, the area was indeed crowded.
Last night, at 10 p.m. the first of the daily processions that start inside the temple and go around the mada streets began, with lord Vinayaka on the well-decorated mooshika vahana leading the procession.
