The unit of St. Vincent de Paul Society attached to Our Lady of Guidance Church in R. A. Puram in collaboration with Mahaveer International and M.N. Eye Hospital, Tondiarpet held a free eye screening camp.
It was conducted at the Lazarus Multi Purpose Hall on Sunday, March 20 from 9 am to 12.30 p.m.
According to Previn Vincent, head of the church unit, 140 people attended the camp. There were 12 people who were diagnosed with cataract. They were later successfully operated on at the hospital in Tondiarpet free of cost.
The priests at this church lent their hand to this camp.
