Leading theatre-person Prasanna Ramaswamy has been recognised once again for her work on the Indian stage.
The Mandaveli resident was one of six people chosen for Kalaignar Porkizhi award by BAPASI, a city-based association of book publishers. She received the award from the Tamil Nadu chief minister, M K Stalin on February 14 at the inauguration of the Chennai Book Fair at YMCA campus, Nandanam.
Prasanna has been decorated with many prestigious awards – this includes the Tamil Nadu’s state’s Kalaimamani award, UNICEF’S Ladli award, Sangeet Natak Akademi award presented by the President of India and the Prof. Ramanujam award.
