You will soon be able to get the prasadam of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple anywhere in the world, by India Post.
This week, the state’s HR&CE Department and India Post have signed the papers for this arrangement. The process has to be created online and offline now.
India Post sources at the Mylapore Post Office said that the deal was signed by the officer at the temple on behalf of HR & CE. A similar facility is to be worked out at Sri Parthasarathy Temple, Triplicane.
The operation will be online. You place your needs and the Mylapore Post Office will do all the work to source the prasadam daily, get it packed and shipped.
India Post says people will need to pay Rs.30 for the prasadam, which is a small pack of vibhuti and a pack of kungumam.
The order will cost you about Rs.100 ( includes packing and postal fees) for a person wanting this shipped to a Chennai address.
A staff at Mylapore Post office says this facility will go ‘live’ in about two / three weeks.
