A quick round of polling booths from 7 a.m.; to 10;30 a.m. this Saturday morning across Mylapore showed polling in elections to the city council to be slow, sluggish and dull.
It was brisk only at a few booths but in places like in Alwarpet, Abiramapuram, R A Puram there were hardly any people outside the booths.
Many seniors were seen headed to the booth after 8 a.m.
Security has been tight and in place in all booths and some people who had cast their ballot, said poll staff were courteous and they or police staff even helped the infirm and the old.
