The first set of preparations for the annual panguni brahmotsavam at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple has begun, Tuesday onwards.
Machinery needed to erect the temporary roofing inside the temple and on Sannidhi Street has arrive and so have the men who will get the work going.
Once the core infrastructure is set up, other works will follow – the preparation of all the vahanams and accessories required for the rituals and processions.
The festival starts on March 9 with the hoisting of the flag.
