The shortened version of the annual feast of saint Lazarus began on Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Guidance Church in R A Puram.
The flag for this feast was hoisted in the campus, Holy Mass celebrated by four priests and then four decorated cars carrying statues that included one of Lazarus did quick rounds of the streets on all sides of this church on Lazarus Church Road.
They had to keep this simple and quick in accordance with the pandemic time regulations.
Day 2 of the feast is on Thursday.
