Kesava Perumal Sannidhi Street was abuzz on Thursday with vegetable and flower vendors making brisk business through the morning on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi festival.
The vendors set up shop early in the morning and they called out for Parangikaai, Pooshanikkai, Seppankazhangu, Vaazhaikkai and Chakkaravalli Kazhangu.
People heading to Sri Kesava Perumal Temple also picked up manjal kothu and inji kothu ahead of the Pongal festival.
Inside Sri Aadhi Kesava Perumal Temple, a steady stream of devotees had Garuda Sevai darshan of Kesava Perumal through the day after they made their way through the Paramapada Vaasal.
