Mylapore MLA Dha Velu says that MTC has started a special bus service to help students studying in the GCC schools in Kotturpuram and in Alwarpet.
He says, since last week, the MTC. bus which runs once every morning and evening covers Perumbakkam in south Chennai, where a huge number of families displaced from city zones have been resettled and whose children continue to study at schools they once used to attend.
Though the single service does not seem to time with the school timings, the MLA says this was a key demand made by people and it has not been met.
