Schools across Mylapore are now fairly prepared to welcome junior students to the classrooms November 1 onwards.
This though will pose new challenges when classes resumes, especially in dealing with distancing rules among the juniors.
The principal of Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Hr Sec School in Mylapore ( off Sundareswarar Street) says the school has been completely disinfected – all the areas such as classrooms, washrooms, water tanks, laboratories and furniture.
The well-ventilated classrooms make the rooms perfectly safe for students and the staff, the principal says.
The school shared a list of things the school will follow –
All teaching and non-teaching staff are vaccinated with 2 doses of
Covishield / Covaxin.
Children are divided into batches to avoid crowding.
Masks are prepared and stocked at school.
Placards and posters regarding safety measures and vaccination
procedures are put up on varied places.
Assemblies to be conducted inside the class.
Wearing of masks is made mandatory for staff and students.
