Yet another batch of students have been inducted into the Greater Chennai Corporation Community College in Alwarpet. The formal event was held last weekend.
This project is primarily a collaboration between GCC and Rotary Club of Madras East and a few private bodies and provides skills courses for poor youths.
The induction was held now for those in the Paramedical, Spoken English and PC training programmes.
Rotary President Srinivasa Rao briefed the guests on the community college and its developments. Dr.Aravindan Selvaraj , executive director, Kauvery Hospital was the chief guest.
The other special Invitees Uma Maheshwari Sharmadha of Kauvery Hospital .Rotarians Renuka Mohanrao and .V. R. Sahit were also present besides other Rotarians.
R. Sankaranarayanan is the administrator of this community college.
