The full moon day in Aippasi is the occasion for the Anna Abhisekam at the Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple.
On Wednesday evening several hundreds of devotees queued up to have darshan of the anna abhisekam of the moolavar swami at the temple. The long queue continued till well past 9pm.
As part of the Pournami celebrations, Chandrasekara Swami went on a three round procession inside the temple complex just after 8pm.
Past 9.30pm, the devotees were presented with the white rice prasadam.
