Savitri Ammal Oriental Higher Secondary School, Mylapore, with the help of a highly qualified and specially trained team of professionals recently held sessions for senior students of the ill-effects of abusive substances like alcohol, drugs and such substances.
Mala (project director), Asha and Fathima counsellors and Shankar, assistant), from the Voluntary Health Services, Adyar, conducted this awareness campaign in its school premises on Oct.22,
These sessions were for students of classes 10, 11 and 12.
The schools says the aim of the programme was to inculcate awareness amongst the students on various fronts with regard to substance abuse and dangers.
School teachers and students attended the programme.
