The parish priest of St Thomas Cathedral in San Thome has reminded the faithful not to come to the church on Sundays to attend Holy Mass since access is restricted in such places due to state orders for the pandemic state.
Fr. Arulraj restated this during the Sunday Masses today and asked people to follow Masses online on the SanThome TV channel on YouTube.
The priest had to stress this after some people came to the church past Sundays and got in for Mass. This behaviour came in for criticism on social media.
Only altar servers, choir members and some nuns are allowed to participate in the Mass here.
