Following the relaxation of pandemic-time rules by the state, devotees will be allowed to enter Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple once again from Monday morning ( June 28) but with some restrictions.
Executive officer of the temple, D. Kaveri told Mylapore Times on Saturday evening that the space available inside the Swami and Ambal sannidhis is limited and hence there are issues relating to air circulation.
Added the officer, “For the time being, given the air circulation issues inside the two sannidhis, devotees can have darshan standing outside the sannidhi. No archanai will be done.”
Street processions will still not be allowed but devotees will be able to have darshan of the daily abhisekams and also be part of the Artha Jaama Pooja every evening at 9pm which also involves a procession inside the temple, Thirunavukarasu, the manian of the temple told Mylapore Times.
