Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple has directed The Mylapore Club on Luz Church Road to close its bar services inside the club.
The temple’s executive officer, Kaveri said that they had sent a notice to The Mylapore Club earlier this month directing the Club to shut down the bar inside the Club as the rules of the HR & CE department did not permit running of a bar and liquor services on the lands owned by the temple.
She said that it has been brought to her notice that the Club has had an internal meeting and that the management has decided to close the bar inside the club with immediate effect.
