Mylapore Times Trust has supported 16 families this far. Donations welcome.

Sixteen families have been provided with rations of dry food – rice, dhal, sugar and oil – as part of the reach-out programme of Mylapore Times Charitable Trust (MTCT) which was launched 10 days ago.

Among the beneficiaries is a family in Srinivasapuram who lost the head  to Covid – Madhan and his wife ran a local food hawker stall and earned a bit. He was in his 40s and leaves behind his young wife and two teen daughters, both in school.

The Trust works through the frontline workers in the colonies off San Thome High Road and serves the weakest of the poor now.

Also, the Trust is paying the bill for the supply of milk to some 100 plus frontline Covid workers working in the R. A. Puram zone, every alternate morning – most youths arrive for work without having breakfast. All get a hot cup of milk. That bill is about Rs.700.

If you want to be part of this reach out, you are welcome to donate. This far, MTCT has received donations from 10 people, from India and abroad.
