There is a bit of charity that is driving life in these grey times. And here is one example of how Mylporeans are supporting monetarily and otherwise, a group which provides food to nurses and medical staff at the GCC-run clinics where the staff do not even have time to take a break and have a good lunch.
A Abiramapuram-based group started it all. (Read story here – https://www.mylaporetimes.com/2021/05/this-abiramapuram-group-has-been-serving-lunch-to-nurses-frontline-staff-at-alwarpet-clinic/
After the report was published in Mylapore Times, the group has got moe sponsors, says senior citizen Vasumathy Rangarajan who started it all.

Sudha Sridharan of Mylapore has taken the job of delivering about 20 lunches to PHC staff at clinic at K. B. Dasan Road for about a month.
Apart from this, the team also delivers about 10 lunches to the PHC on Rosary Church Road and about 20 lunches to the PHC in R K Nagar.
Also taking the cue of this service, Vasumathy’s daughter Sukanya has organised with her friends to serve about 25 lunches to the PHC in Karapakkam on the OMR in south Chennai.
