The process of laying a new storm water drain that carries rainwater is being undertaken by the GCC on Bhaktavachalam Street and Dr. Ranga Road junction, in order to avoid the stagnation of rainwater on the roads at this junction.
The work is on now for about 15 days and it is almost complete now. Workers are in the process of closing all the pits.
The work is taking place after repeated complaints made over a few years, said a resident here.
