It is just over four months since the launch of the full fledged final rites services centre, Venkatesa Theertham, in Venkatesa Agraharam, one managed by Vedantha Desikar Temple.
Mylapore Times had reported on this in December last (Venkatesa Theertham) in the week of its launch. In pandemic times, it is proving to be in demand given the need for hygiene and cleanliness and expectations of people who book it.
A Praveen of D’Silva Road is performing this week the final rites at Venkatesa Theertham for his father who passed away last week.
He recounts his experience on Day 9 of the rites ceremony “They followed Covid protocol (masks, social distancing) in common spaces within the complex. Clear Covid protocol related communication was displayed prominently within the building complex. The hygiene level was excellent. Sanitizer with a contactless dispenser was placed at the entrance. The room provided to us, bathrooms and toilets were all absolutely clean.”
He also says that the office staff too were good with their communication and helpful.
