C.P. Art Centre is organising its annual Women’s Bazaar to celebrate International Women’s Day and to provide a platform to those women who lost their livelihoods during the last year’s pandemic.
The collection of textiles, designer jewellery, arts and crafts and food items
made by women for women and marketed by the women
entrepreneurs themselves are on display and sale.
From March 9 to 14 at C.P. Art Centre, No.1, Eldams Road, Alwarpet.
Akhila Srinivasan, managing director of Shriram Life Insurance, will
inaugurate the exhibition-sale on Monday, March 8 at 5 p.m.
The women taking part in this event are from rural areas, from
Chennai’s hutments, middle class women and economically disadvantaged women.
